The well known story of Moses and the burning bush is a metaphor for our own  interior lives.  Moses turns aside from his daily tasks to see a bush burning but yet- not consumed.  In a world saturated with social media, 24 hour news cycles and endless competition for physical perfection, we forget our essential essence.  We become consumers who are also consumed with suggested needs or desires.

How do we turn aside from the frenetic activity on the surface of our lives to go deeper? Art and spirituality both have the ability to help us slow down, reflect and connect to our true selves and recover the inner fire which illuminates instead of consumes.
